Olive Thompson is the Marketing Coordinator for Vrapi Weeks, and works from both the Albuquerque and Santa Fe offices. Her goal is to help the firm reach new clients and continue to serve past clients, so that Vrapi Weeks can carry on breaking immigration barriers over generations.

Ms. Thompson was born in South Carolina and raised in Joplin, Missouri. She attended Drury University in Springfield, Missouri as a first-generation college student. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with Bachelors of Arts in Strategic Communication and Spanish and was recipient of the Ron Schie Award.

During her time in university Ms. Thompson assisted in translating Veteran Treatment Court documents into Spanish for nearby counties, enabling Spanish-speaking veterans to receive access to treatment and recover from addiction instead of facing time in prison. She was part of Sigma Delta Pi, the National Spanish Honor Society for college students. For Ms. Thompson’s senior seminar capstone, she created Spanish Title IX brochures and materials for victims of sexual assault and harassment.

Her interest in immigration law was piqued by several instructors during her education, who shared their stories of the challenges of immigration. For Ms. Thompson, the most rewarding part of working at the firm is seeing the relief in clients and their families when they are able to achieve status, and live their lives freely and without immigration challenges.
